I actually thinks that some people are not include in this idea of equality.

Urban school districts have been making the switch to school uniforms at an ever increasing rate. Meanwhile, suburban school districts have been slower to make the move to uniforms, often citing that the benefits achieved from uniforms are restricted to high poverty urban areas. According to The National Center for Education Statistics website (https://nces.ed.gov), “Between the 2003–04 and 2011–12 school years, the percentage of public schools reporting that they required that students wear uniforms increased from 13 to 19 percent.” The movement supporting school uniforms in urban schools, largely began with the Long Beach Unified School District, who at the start of the 1994 school year, required uniforms for kindergarten through eight grade…

Walking in the first day, I was greeted by enthusiastic “scholars” as they are collectively referred to. These students have both challenged and furthered my analysis of the following philosophers-Martin Luther King Jr. and Thomas Hobbes. Throughout this reflection I will investigate further the experiences and people I have encountered thus far. Growing up I attended a private school. I believe that everyone should be treated equally, but that doesn't always happen. Every year kids age 10-14 decided to go to the final stage from being bullied. Over 4,400 kids die a year from this, either by what they wear, physically being harmed, or what group in society they are labeled in. A lot of kids don't feel confident in what they wear because they are always judged, so I think that schools should make every child follow a uniform dress code, or uniforms. Religion is a huge part of what makes us, us.…

School uniforms are not universally utilized throughout the world. In fact, across the globe people of color are significantly more likely to attend a school that mandates uniforms. Given this, one might postulate that communities of color value school uniforms and therefore, utilize them more often. This paper will suggest that this is not the case and demonstrate the role that colonialism and systemic oppression play in the widespread use of uniforms on students of color. This is increasingly problematic as it sends implicit messages to children about their ability to make decisions and their place in society.…

School Uniforms School uniforms have been a controversial subject on whether students should wear them or not. There are many ways students can be conservative for school other than wearing a uniform. Therefore, I don’t think uniforms are necessary.
