First responders are a special breed of people who take their jobs, their calling, to protect and serve seriously.
They rigorously train and risk their lives in order to save lives. And they are often present for the worst tragedies that touch the lives of everyone involved.
In these difficult times it can be easy to overlook –they are people, too. Police, firefighters, emergency medical technicians – all our first responders –are someone’s child, someone’s parent, someone’s family.
