The first rehabilitative program that I will start out with is the educational program. This program is very controversial and many have been talking about how effective this program can be. It has been said that their findings support the premise that receiving correctional education while incarcerated reduces an individual’s risk of recidivating. It was also said that inmates who participate in the corrections educational programs has 43 percent lower odds of recidivating than those who did not participate in the program. With that being said this translates to a reduction in the risk on recidivating of 13 percentage points.
