As a first generation student I have had to overcome multiple challenges and obstacles since neither of my parents attended a university or technical college. I have been challenged with my parents are not being able to give me helpful hints and tips involving college when I need their advice the most. When I was going through the application process to decide on what college I wanted to attend I would look to my parents for advice, hoping that they would have an answer to guide me in the right direction. But since I am a first generation student my parents do not necessarily know what to look for when it comes to picking out the perfect college for me. There are so many details to take into consideration when you are searching for a college
