As my semester of college arrives, I can't help but be nervous about what is in store for me. For a while now, I've given some thought to furthering my education and obtaining a master and possibly a Ph.D., however, being a first generation college student, I can't help but question whether I am good enough and fully capable of doing so. Transitioning into the unknown has always caused a sense of fear in individuals. A shift that causes much fear is that of going from a high school student and into a college student because of been unaware of what to expect or not knowing how to handle a situation due to lack of knowledge.
