Towards the end of the day, I got to observe the step-by-step process of how they prepare their office’s bank deposit, then I went to help shut down exam rooms. Besides having Hispanic day on Wednesdays where the interpreter is in the office, a breast feeding class is offered by the practice, which I think is a wonderful benefit to mothers wishing to feel their babies in a natural way! Anyhow, I don’t have much more to share about my day today because of the office being a little more on the slow side, but tomorrow and Wednesday should be more interesting.

Today, in the insurance/billing office, I got to listen in a couple calls to patients. Also, I got to call a patient to schedule a follow-up postpartum appointment! Fortunately, the call went much smoother than I thought it would! As I was about to end the call, the patient agreed to an appointment time and let me know she was thankful to me for calling. Another thing I got to do was put together PHI packets for established yearly patients to fill out when they come in.
