Personal Narrative: First Day Of The First Job

First Day Of The First Job I can say that I know the fear and stress of starting a new job. The kind of fear that made me nervous when I walked into the workplace and the feeling of not know what this new experience would be like. The fear and stress all started at my house and Microtel Inn and Suites in Miami, Oklahoma on Tuesday June 17, 2014. The day started off with me, awaking from my bed at 6:00 in the morning. After I was completely awake, I gathered my clothes and hopped into the shower. When I got out of the shower, I got completely dried and dressed and was feeling a little better about myself then, I looked into the mirror. My eyes were beat red that’s when the fear instantly came back to me because now I thought I was going to go into work looking like some sleep-deprived teenager. I walked into the living room where my mother and father were watching the news I explained to my mother about eyes and she said, “Don’t worry about it Braydon, you look good and you’re going to do great today.”. I then stopped worrying about my eyes and asked my father if I could get a ride to work, he said,” Yes, I can take you up there jump in the truck and I’ll be right there.”. I then …show more content…
I then went into the laundry room for more instructions from the housekeepers. Lupita said, “Braydon grab that laundry bag, please and help me carry some laundry upstairs.”. I grabbed the brown bag that had a texture that felt like it belonged on some old cowboy boots and handed it to her. She started filling up the bag with loads of pillow cases, sheets, towels, and rags. What was going through my mind was show no stress Braydon and lift that bag up and carry it upstairs. I bent my knees and heaved that heavy bag over my shoulders and thought this is it, I am now a part of the Microtel workforce.
