We have a checks and balance system in place that bills must go through congress, and the senate. The president can however suggest bills, veto bills, and approve bills that have already been reviewed through the house.
This is a huge issue with uneducated Americans who do not know the correct process a bill must go through to get passed and think that they know what they are talking about. Then they proceed then pull the “1st amendment freedom of speech” card to express themselves. They have every right to do so, and if they would like to go and make themselves a fool – they can have at it, because of the 1st amendment.
In conclusion, the 1st amendment freedom of speech plays a huge aspect in our government. The framers of the constitution added the 1st amendment for a reason. Without freedom of speech, we would not know everything that we do know about our presidential candidates and if we the people do not know that then that could turn into a catastrophic mess. You have every right to express yourself (within reason) to anybody, and it be okay because you are protected within the grounds of the 1st amendment. People do take this amendment and take advantage of it, but that is on them. I strongly believe that the framers of the United States Constitution did not want
