Fireman Research Paper

To become a fireman you need to go to college and study fire science. All it takes is two years of school then after school you go to a (12-14) week training academy which is 40-48 hours of training a week. You have to go through that so they know if you have what it takes to become a fireman. Firemen do all types of different things they put out fires they also go on medical calls like if someone passed out they will show up and try to help if they can. They are at a Fire Station all day until they get a alarm telling them to go out on a mission to either go put out a fire or to go help out someone when they need a medical problem.
They are required to work 24 hour shifts but after the 24 hour shift they have 48 hours off of work. They normally work a total of 50 hours a week. There is a average of 10 24 hour shifts a month so they do end up working a lot if you think about it. They get called to put out fires and for other emergencies. They are trained in medical and all that so if something happens they

These are some of the top personal characteristics you need to be a fireman.
Some special skills you need are have to be muscular and to be fit and in shape. Some other things you need are to be willing to risk your life to save others and to help people out. They describe it as no matter the risk so others may live. You have to take 2 years of firesiance at college but not all colleges offer fire science. These are some of the things you need to do to become a fireman and some of the stuff they do when at work. You need to be strong physically and mentally or you might not be able to handle it. They work very long days but after that day it's followed with 2 days off of
