Fireman and Policeman Prayer poem
The duty of a fireman and a police officer is to protect every citizens of the United States by putting their life on the line. Both department have a prayer for every time they go on tour to keep their faith so at the end of the day they can go home. Just imagine a parent coming home one day from work and seeing his or her apartment burned out by a fire and he or she drop to her knees hoping her children got away. A fireman walks up to them and say your children are okay. A firefighter as you know main job is to rescue any civilian from a fire no matter what cause. But firefighters are people too and being a firefighter doesn’t mean that you aren’t afraid encountering fire. As the poem quotes “Be with my fellow officers and guard their safety too. May I always put duty first in the work” In today society lately there has been a lot of anti-police protest do to the fact of fellow officer killing unarmed black men. But society is forgetting who will always there when they need help and that’s the police. Police officers work with the communities of their work area they serve to maintain law and order and keep relationship between civilian and the department strong, protect members of the public and their property, prevent crime, reduce the fear of crime and improve the quality of life for all citizens.
