Hi, I’m Ra’Janae, and today I’m going to talk to you about how to handle unexpected situations. Last Friday, there was a very alarming fire drill that occurred about 30 minutes into English class. During that hour, students were also on the verge of leaving to go on a service- learning trip. Ms. Sirmon probably had everything planned out just the way she needed her lesson to be in preparation for the students’ departure. Now, a fire drill obviously is unexpected and sometimes can throw some students and teachers off. However, instead of panicking about the little time we had together, we decided to turn that moment into something beneficial that all of us needed; studying vocabulary.
