From a humble secretary at a real-estate to a powerful CEO of a Fortune 50 company, Carly Fiorina is an example of what the American Dream really is about. Many say the American Dream is dead, yet here is a woman who is living proof that that statement is not true. The dream is strong and true, and she believes that it is still attainable. She stands with other candidates as a non-politician running for the most influential seat in the United States, the presidency. To support her opinion on this subject she says that the department of education has gotten more, and more money each year over the past 30 years, and the education system is not getting better. “The income disparity gaps are getting worse. We are not improving, in terms of our achievement rate in relative to other nations” (Carly). The more money the federal government puts into the educations system; the quality of education does not improve. The quantity of money will not do anything in relative to quality of education if it is not being used and applied correctly. Fiorina plans on applying a system that does work. She plans on spending money on encouraging, rewarding, and creating an incentive to teachers. Also, she plans on making a system on attracting young people to go into the teaching profession. She wants the schools to embrace and providing the opportunity for students to let their imagination and creativity grow in the classrooms. Her last point would be to making sure every parent has a choice about how and where to educate their child so every child has a chance regardless of their family’s social status. She plans on opening the education system and providing opportunities to people who do not have them
