Essay Finding Objects And Environments That I Have Learned

In order to find objects and environments that I could relate to art history that I have learned in this class I decided to take a walk around my neighborhood and its nearby surroundings. I live in Kissimmee and extremely close to Saint Cloud so I decided to start off by looking around the Lakefront Park area. At first I did not think that I would be able to find many things that I would be able to relate to art, but I think that is because I had never actually tried to pay attention to small details. The area of Saint Cloud that I began looking at has a lot of very old homes that I found to be very interesting and that I knew I would be able to make a connection with something in the textbook. After looking at the architecture of a few homes I began finding more objects that I found I could relate to something that I have learned in this class. It took me a while to really understand what I should be looking for, but once I got the hang of paying attention to details is when I really started finding objects that I could write about. One of the first things that I noticed when searching for objects in the Saint Cloud area was that the area that I was in contained a lot of traditional homes that looked like they had been there for a long time. Many of these homes contained columns that immediately reminded me of the columns of The Pantheon in Paris.
