The Amazing Adventures of Finding Nemo (Character Analysis) In the adventurous movie, Finding Nemo, directed by Stanton and Unkrich, Dory goes through life untroubled and lighthearted, part of that is because she has short term memory loss. First of all, Dory meets three sharks while on an adventure with Marlin. She is totally unfazed by the fact that sharks usually eat fish but Marlin is the total the opposite. “Well, hi!...” Dory greeted the shark like it was no dig deal. “...You mean like a party?... Ooh, I love parties! Parties are fun!” (Stanton, Unkrich x:xx). All Dory wanted was to have a good time at a party. While they were swimming she started to sing a song. “Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming. What do we do? We swim, swim… Ho ho ho ho ho ho! I love to swim! When you want to swim..” (Stanton, Unkrich x:xx). Dory didn’t care that it was dark she’d just wanted to have a good time and sing. Lastly, when Dory gets stung by a little jellyfish she notices that it hurts, but then when there are big jellyfish around it doesn’t phase her. Also, she was totally fine with asking a stranger for directions, unlike Marlon. When next to the big jellyfish she goes and starts bouncing on the top of them, having fun and playing games. “Hey, watch this! Boing! Boing!” (Stanton, Unkrich x:xx). Also still after she noticed that the fish she was asking directions from was a whale Dory didn’t care, she started speaking whale like it was nothing. “Oh. Oh, oh, big fella. Big fe--whale. Okay. Maybe he only speaks whale. MOOOOO-WEEEEEEE-NEEEEE.., ..I don't know. I'll ask him. MMMWWHAAAAAAAAA! HUUUWHAAAAAAAAA..” (Stanton, Unkrich x:xx). Dory just wants to have fun.
