Finding My Identity

I found my identity in the parking lot of McDonald’s. Everyone has an identity; however, individuals often forget who they are and require a moment of realization to understand their true identity. It was the same for me.
I vividly remember the chilly afternoon of January 19, 2014, when I decided to perform a sly mission: sneaking past the vigilant teachers that stood guarding the exits of the school during lunch break. Many others had also achieved this remarkable feat, but mine was special because of its purpose. I wanted to wish my mother, who had left home in early darkness to go to work, a happy birthday. As soon as she saw me, she immediately scolded me and lectured me for leaving school during lunch break. Nonetheless, behind her apprehensive face, I saw a radiance that sparked with my

The tough course load combined with the responsibilities and obligations to my family and others have pushed me to my limits. I may not be the most intelligent student in my classes, nor am I inhuman enough not to be stressed by responsibilities and homework, but I do have this purpose of changing the life of my family. I have been able to turn this motivation and purpose into something tangible with my perfume bottle, which serves as my personal reminder of my ambitions, purpose, and goals in life. Whenever I am overwhelmed by making sure to pay bills, book appointments, help with chores and act as a translator for my parents, this perfume bottle provides the motivation to continue. It allows me to remove the clutter from my life and focus on what I want to achieve.
I am completely sure that regardless of the obstacles and challenges I face, I will always be able to overcome them because of this perfume bottle. Coupled with my urge to provide the vindication for my parents’ efforts and my efforts to achieve my ambitions, I am confident of achieving my goals in this next phase of my
