Find Me Unafraid: Annotated Bibliography

I chose poverty as my topic for the reading inquiry because in the book Find Me Unafraid by Kennedy Odede and Jessica Posner, children in Africa were struggling to get food, live, and to go to school. It was even tough for the authors to live a normal life in Africa even though they are not originally form there. First I decided to explore my poverty in Africa topic. Based on module one, I have to explore my topic. Since inquiry is more than just a Google, Bing, or Yahoo search, I decided to use the Atkins library, which gave me surplus of articles on my topic. When people have jobs and make income than they are more easily to get out of poverty. Having equal pay with women and men, insists a reduce poverty future for future generations. The first article I read gave me entry points surrounding my topic. Poverty in Africa has been rising in the first century. Collier (2007) There problems are that the economy as a whole in Africa has not been growing for a decade. Next I generated some questions such as, how can we reduce poverty? In what ways can we help Africa? Poverty in Africa is different and requires alternative strategies out of the norm. Their income level is too low to redistribute. Using module two and three, I connected information to get a better understanding. Narrowing the search beforehand to find articles that fit my topic the most help me a lot. I found many main ideas, key points, supportive evidence to give me new ways to reduce poverty in Africa.
