Financial Aid: Should College Students Get Paid?

Some colleges believe that giving the students drug test to qualify for financial aid is the best thing to do. Would you believe that anyone would argue that? For the past few years this has been talked about. Students should get drug tested for the aid that they are trying to receive from the government. These days there are over 80 percent of high school graduates that are getting out of school to attend college and they are looking for a way to pay for school. Since Alan W. Purdy created Financial aid for college students it has worked wonders for them. Purdy created financial aid in 1965 during the higher education act. When a Student is on drugs it is hard to focus, For example, they would fall behind in their classes. They would be high in class and would miss important information that they need to pass the class. Financial aid is needed because college is not free and a lot of people are not fortunate enough to pay for school completely out of pocket. Without them focusing in school how would they overcome these hard and situation ways. Now days’ tuition is almost Thirty Thousand Dollars and with the study of people looking up the most on what do if their kids on drugs what to do so they would not just waste their money for a kid that is not going to go to school and just use the money for themselves and not put towards their school. What this means is that student should get tested for their future and become more successful students and make their parents proud of them and become something that they want to be when they grow up.
