A lot of students is using federal and state funds to attend colleges. Some students are struggling because he or she parent’s is not eligible to receive those different funds. The funds have a positive and negative benefits.
The negative benefits are this hurt taxes payer. This not fair to people who is paying taxes and their child is not eligible for to receive the funds. Some students just be waiting on their refund to drop out of school. This making a lot of community colleges have low graduation rates. The graduation rate has drop since the government funds has been taking up. The change in tuition affect poor student. The student with higher income will not be affected. The changes of financial aid hurt many students. It also depending on if a student at a 2 year college or a four year college. The different changes can affect schools, students, parents, and race. Sometime leadership need to be caution before making certain changes. When receiving financial aid it goes by your parent’s income. Some parent’s do not let their children use his or her information.
