Finance Consultant Essay

It was June 9, 2015. At five o’clock P.M. I was taking on a new and diverse task. It was something I had never done before; I was interviewing a complete stranger. Her name is Jasmine Carter. She is 41 years old, and a single hard working mother of three beautiful children. The ages of her children are twenty four, nineteen (soon to be twenty), and fourteen, she also has a five year old grandson. Although she counters many problematic things in her life like raising her kids on her own and providing for her family and many more issues, she always gets the job finished. The other half of the day will be spent talking to various different customers, and peer coaching; which is helping co-workers with any problems they have. Jasmine had become interested in her job because she likes how the job involves some of her strong sides. Problem solving and investigating through payments is what interests her the most. To be a finance consultant there is a process you have to go through, the first step is applying for the job/position you desire. Next you would attend your interview but the interview is a phone interview because of how large the company is. After the phone interview you were required to do two face-to-face interviews with three supervisors in each set interview. Continuing in the process you would have to take five tests for training. Jasmine thought the training was very intense, so it is something you will have to prepare yourself for. You get trained on more programs during the course of the year to develop more learning skills. Jasmine has established a higher education degree that has helped her with the familiarity she has about a finance consultant. She had the opportunity to become a finance consultant through an old co-worker at her job at the previous time. I asked her “If you can have another occupation, which would you choose and why?” She responded to the question by saying “a crime scene investigator.” It is clear to why she would choose this occupation; another reason why she did was because it is personalized. You get to help people and that is something she feels strongly about. For someone considering being a finance consultant, Jasmine would like to say that being a finance consultant is a good position because it has major opportunities being as though it is a major company you can move up farther in the company. You should also try to farther your education while you are working because that is very important as well. It is challenging and can get stressful at times and you always have a long
