Adolf Hitler rose to power and took control over Germany initiating fascist policies which led to World War II, causing the death of 11 million people. Before the United States entered WWII, The Great Dictator directed by Charlie Chaplin was released. The film is a satire which is a direct aim at Adolf Hitler and his dictatorship. The film completely confronts the Nazi and their tactics. Chaplin owned his own production studio and raised money for the film independently. He went through this effort so that America could witness his beliefs on the issue, and they did. In the final scene of the film, Chaplin’s character, Napaloni delivers a touching monologue that sends a powerful message to those affected by WWII and the rest of the world. His
