Final Reflection

Improved Essays
My worse grade happened during the spring semester of my senior year, while taking evolutionary biology course. The course had close to 400 students with two professors rotating. It was the professor responsible for the second half of class that I encountered more trouble with. It might have been the fact that I was not able to translate his methods in class, or the fact that my studying style was incorrect, because I could not perform well on the exams. This was reoccurring throughout my last semester of undergraduate studies, and was a very important learning opportunity for me, because I felt that I had failed my standards and knew I should have preformed much better. It is why I was set on pursuing a masters’ degree during my gap year.

The purpose of this body of work was to address medication errors and safe medication administration practices in relation to practicing nurses and nursing students via several different approaches. These different approaches will be presented as three separate papers but interrelated themes. The specific purpose for each paper and the corresponding research questions were addressed individually in each chapter. The approach used in the first paper was a systematic literature search of medication administration errors and the pediatric population; five themes emerged including the incidence rate of medication administration errors, specific medications involved in medication administration errors and classification of the errors, why medication…

For my final portfolio, I chose to revise a shorter essay, “Potential Ramifications of a Trump Presidency,” and a longer essay, “Assignment 7: Finding Place Research Project.” I chose these two essays specifically because of their differences. The former is shorter, more informal, and includes more of my thoughts and opinions. The latter is a longer research paper, and thus is more formal and less biased as I attempted to give a brief history of gentrification and its impacts on East Liberty.…

Short Term 12 was a very interesting movie. It had hints of being realistic, but with aspects where you knew it was a movie. It’s about a group of workers who work in a foster care residential facility setting. The main character, Grace, deals with her own personal struggles while she supervises the children at the facility. I have a short bit of experience at a facility like Short Term 12 in some aspects; I can see where parts of the movie are realistic and where are some are an exaggeration because it is a movie.…

It was the first day of my second year in Tomball ISD. I walked into my second period, Texas History, with a Mrs. Brough. At first glance, Mrs. Brough seemed to be a little too excited and the state of her desk with several coffee mugs seemed suspicious. It was in this unorganized classroom and with this giddy teacher that I found my love of history. Mrs. Brough was a short and stout woman who never stopped smiling.…

My 3-practicum placements have provided me with different, but great learning experiences. I was able to practice what I have been learning in my other college courses in my practicums. De Ocampo, Sheena Mae M. Dr. Evangeline Martin I-12 Reflection: Veneration Without Understanding Firstly, upon reading the title itself, ‘Veneration Without Understanding’, I already know that the article that I am going to read will be about how we, Filipinos, revere Rizal as someone of a high order without fully understanding why we do such thing. I initially thought that the author, Renato Constantino, was an anti-Rizal for writing it and for saying that we fail to understand why is Rizal our national hero. Is he just purposely trying to prop up Andres Bonifacio or other heroes above Rizal’s name? Does he have evidences with him that will prove his assertions? Well, by merely looking at the number of pages he has worked…
