In comparing Somerset County population, age, sex, and ethnic demographic data with the U. S., Somerset County based on its population is a midsize community with a small percentage of children under the age of five. Also, when comparing those who are 65 years of age or older, Somerset County has less of an elderly population than the overall U. S. However, the population of females and males are not much of a difference when you compare Somerset County to the U. S. The ethnic makeup of both Somerset County and the U. S. is a little slightly different in percentage

**My demographics chosen population would be children, adults, and those below the poverty level.

1. By educating children while they are young and making them more aware of the benefits of healthy eating and physical activity will eliminate them from later developing high-risk diseases related to obesity at a later age.
2. It is important for adults to be more health conscious when eating and to increase physical activity to prevent them from becoming obese and developing other related high-risk diseases to remain healthy and increase their longevity.
3. Also, I chose those who are below the poverty level because due to their income disparity, buying healthy foods can be costly and not always affordable to them, which can be a risk of them not eating healthy foods and them more prone to other related diseases, such as heart disease, stroke, and diabetes that have the highest mortality rates.

I would conduct obesity awareness workshops
At local healthcare organizations, I would have community obesity awareness workshops, monthly to educate those about the positive benefits of a healthy diet and physical activity, as well as the consequence of being obese and later developing high risk related diseases.
2. I would have 5 K run/walk races.
. To increase physical activity, I would have 5 K run/walk races quarterly within the community.
3. Implement community wellness programs.
I would implement wellness programs in every city within Somerset County at workplaces, schools, and recreation centers to increase physical activity.
Three Activities for Objective 3

1. Increase the number of affordable, healthy grocery stores
I will work with the grocery store franchises to expand their network in Somerset County to make the stores more affordable and healthier.
2. Provide financial assistance for food
I would work with Social Services to provide vouchers to help assist those in need and below the poverty level purchase healthy foods.
3. Create more healthy food pantries
I would work with local charitable organizations in the community of Somerset to distribute only healthy foods at their
