1. I think that the Soviet Union's ambassador triggered the doomsday device. Towards the end of Dr. Strangelove, the ambassador got down to tie his shoe and next thing you know a bunch of explosions that happening everywhere. So, we never really found out who was on the attacking side and who on the defending side.

Professor Ingram argues that authoritarianism is a myth because he believes that there is so no such thing as complete authoritarianism just because there must always be some kind of approval from the general public. There are 4 different types of terrorism: transitional, state, international, and domestic. Transitional terrorism is where terrorism is privately funded and motivated by politics and it consists of targets all over the world. An example of transitional terrorism would be the Taliban. State terrorism is when a population has an act of terror done to them by their own society. An example would be the Nazi Germany time period. International terrorism is something that happens when somebody comes from abroad to a certain country to commit acts of terror. An example would be the 9/11 attacks that happened in our country. Domestic terrorism is where someone engages in terrorism against its own country. An example of domestic terrorism could be when the Las Vegas shooter attacked the strip not too far back. I feel that domestic terrorism is the most dangerous just because of the fact that anyone in could turn on its own country with a lot more ease. The essential difference between liberalism and realism is the belief that all states should just go about their business on their own. Whereas, liberalism is where they believe that collaboration amongst other states is okay in order to provide more peace amongst everyone. Liberals aren’t always heavily concerned about having the most power, while realists can be focused on ensuring that they can maintain security. Realist theorists view war as normal because they seem to be more focused on themselves to provide a better national security for themselves. It is more important for them to work on their own instead of collaborating with other states like the liberals
