With five judges watching, I divvy out assignments and get to work with my six teammates. We quickly brainstorm solutions, building off of one another's ideas to come up with a creative, workable solution. I am ready.

Over the last year and a half, this program has provided teens with disabilities "typical" teenage experiences, social skills training, and friendships, as well as a support group for their parents. Starting, running, and staffing a program that serves 15–25 teens at each event has been a challenge, but one I can solve. This project has solidified my passion for being an active participant in my community and creating solutions to make it a better place to live.
DI has opened many doors for me, introduced me to people from all over the world, and brought me hours of laughter and enjoyment. (When you spend hours with teammates, building with duct tape, how can you not have fun?) With my DI experiences guiding me, I'm headed to the next chapter in my life, ready to solve any problem that dares to cross my path (.or at least give it my most creative attempt!).
(As for solving the instant challenge, think of a sturdy base and equal weight distribution. But most importantly, remember to give your teammates a high five, because nothing great is accomplished
