The experiment consisted of a total sample size of n=145 subjects all of whom were current GVSU students ages 18-28 years old. Inclusion factors for subjects included knowledge of their overall Grade Point Average (GPA) and had to be current GVSU students. Subjects were not eligible for the study (exclusion factors) if: they were non-GVSU students (due to inconsistent grading scales across universities), if they were incoming freshman (incomplete overall GPA), and if they did not know their current GPA.
