Therefore, art can be the reflection of the artist’s mind, the lives of other people, and even the civilization of mankind through the artists eyes.
3) Is the documentary just about cave paintings? What deeper, more thoughtful themes come out in the narration and the approach of Herzog and the scientists? This is not just a documentary about cave paintings, but the show of the human nature. Through the appearance of the field sprinkled with white, from which we can see a snowy mountain, and we are shown a river in southern France, the viewers become the explorers inside the cave. These old paintings reveals how fundamental and natural is the spiritual life that art represents: human nature itself is illuminated.
