The heroine had a sweet marriage, but later her husband ceased to be faithful. After she went back from India, she was abandoned by her husband. At the end of the film, Nina closed the book---Ramayana and chose another lighting road. This story is just the filmmaker’s own story. Paley successfully fused her own emotional experience with the Rama’s story, and gave the traditional Rama’s story a brand new life and meanings. I think Paley didn’t change the meaning and original style of Ramayana, it was just the new opinion, our personal understand of the Ramayana and the charisma of Hinduism. Just as the saying goes: There are a thousand Hamlets in a thousand people 's eyes. There is no paradox between respect the old tradition and cultivate new thought. And we just change the ways to respect the old tradition. Moreover, the time is keeping change, so our minds are keeping change
