In The Matrix we find that there are two major characters by the name of Neo and Morpheus, Neo is by day is a normal computer programmer and by night he is a computer hacker. Morpheus on the other hand is also known as a legendary computer hacker who branded a terrorist by government, at some point Neo finds himself being contacted by Morpheus and he awakens Neo to the real world. For setting we realise that the play takes place in a white room which is known as the construct and depth perception in that room never ends. This sends a message to the audience that no room in the real world or on Earth could be like that. There’s also a scene where all five elements of mise-en-scene are used perfectly so to make a huge impact on, this is a scene where there’s only a remote control, two chairs and a television set in a white room.The Wachowskis (1999)
Cinematography is one of the elements found in the Matrix, shots are taken in all directions, and the dolly move behind the pillars reveals the club in a significant way and sets out the tone of the entire scene.
