Film And The Bible: Film Analysis

There is a lot of similarities between the movie and the Bible. It is almost identical to what the bible teaches us about Christ such as his suffering, death, and resurrection. All of these events can be depicted through Aslan and the adventurous kid. Aslan allowed himself to be killed on a great stone table. The witch and others mocked Aslan, just as Jesus was mocked in front of people when he was being crucified. They questioned his abilities to save himself from being killed without doing anything wrong. This example relates to the Bible when Jesus was being questioned by the nonbelievers “If you are king of the Jews, save yourself” (Luke 23:37). Aslan was then resurrected and appeared in front of Lucy and Susan. They couldn’t believe what their seeing is true in front of them. Alan’s resurrection is also similar to when Jesus resurrected and appeared in front of Mary “ When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons”(Mark 16:9) …show more content…
Even after he betrayed them they didn’t hold a grudge but moved on from the past. This also made me think of Judas when he betrayed Jesus but at the end, Jesus was still merciful towards Judas. Others might do you wrong but rather than be bitter and angry to the person it is best to let go of the anger and pain they might have put you through. There is a saying in Islam “When someone gives you blood, give them milk”. Therefore, we should learn to forgive others, not for them but to be at peace with

In modern day Latin America people struggle for even the most basic of human needs such as water, sanitation, and food. Governments in many countries do little to help lift the people out of poverty and give way to a higher quality of life for the poor while letting companies with vast resources come into their country, take their resources, and in return do little other than pay a meager wage to those who labor for these companies. The systems that are put in place by forced democracy are meant to keep separation between the rich and the poor. Three movies that depict how these systems work, or don’t work, are City of God, Even the Rain, and Trinkets and Beads. These movies have commonalities that the people of Latin America deal with day to day like loyalty, poverty, drug trafficking, slums, and exploitation of the indigenous people.…

Scenes from a Parish Paper After watching Scenes from a Parish, I found that much of the efforts made within St. Patrick’s related to St. Francis’s story when he responded to the call to restore the church of San Damiano. As St. Francis worked on the church, he was able to attract followers and form a Franciscan community. I found St. Partick’s Church to follow a similar philosophy in several instances. First of all, the church maintained a lay character and accepted any person who needed assistance. For instance, as the food center was completed, volunteers went around the city informing all groups of people that this food center would be available to them whenever they needed it.…

Biblical Story Assignment As Christian story comes to close, it is now time to look back and reflect on all I’ve learned, especially from Bernhard W. Anderson in his book The Unfolding Drama of the Bible. In this book, Anderson explains that the drama occurs in three main acts. Act 1 The Formation of God’s people, Act 2 The Re-formation of God’s people, and Act 3 The transformation of God’s people.
