Normally in a historical movie it tries to shove dates, numbers and names down your throat, but in this movie, it tells you an honest tragedy story. A tragedy story that you are more likely to remember by not shoving numbers in your face but an honest and terribly sad story about how messy politics and religion were at the time. The events that happened at Salem was an absolute mess of ruthless America with how a group of children controlled a small section simply by playing possessed. Sadly with how schools normally just gave us numbers and places and don’t really explain how or why anything happened other than the general statement of ‘some girls were playing black magic with a slave, then started acting up.’ it’s amazing to see how personal and in depth this movie gets, it shows how things happened and who did it and why they did it. How it affected people and families, and even the trustworthiness of the church and even of children. In a textbook you could never get the same amount of personal connection or information that you got from this two and a half hour long movie. This was not only a tragic tale but one of drama, corruption, and most importantly it is a tale remembrance, so we never forget what misfortune has
