In the movie, at the beginning, Westley has a secret love for Buttercup. She was not just a farm girl although, considering she being the most beautiful women in the world. They eventually find themselves both in love just like any other fairy tale, but instead of getting married right away he leaves to go find his fortune first. While on his trip it had been said that he was killed by the Dread Pirate Roberts who attacked his ship. Considering this is suppose to be a fairytale it makes you question what going to happen if Buttercup’s true love is dead already.
