Film Analysis: The Break Up

The Break Up is a movie whom its two main characters are Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn and it is about these two persons who meet on a baseball game on a regular day. They were sitting in the same row, but in distant seats from each other. He went with his best friend and she went with a friend. It all began when he turned his head and saw her; the hot dog guy was there and to call her attention, he loudly called the hot dog guy and ordered 6 hot dogs. He immediately offered her a hot dog, she refused it, but he kept insisting her to take it until she finally took it. Then he offered her mustard, which she replied she was fine, but he just gave it to her and she smiled him back and thanked him for the hot dog. At the end of the game he waited for her and asked her if she would like to get a drink, she said no because she was with somebody so he started asking her who was this guy she was with at that moment and then he joked with her about marrying him and finished by asking her out to their first ice-breaking date.

As she enters to her condo with “the new guy”, she sees the table and thinks that he obviously has something going on and that probably it is not for her. He looks at her and asks her if she could talk to her in private. He begins talking about the breakup, how it really hit him because on Sundays they used to do stuff together and he had no idea she still cared so much. Then he says that the other day he saw her crying was the worst moment of his life and that even though he does not always says or does the right things, he is willing to do things differently to make the relationship work. He finishes by saying he loves her and promises to her he will do anything he has to do to never hurt her again and apologizes for all the pain he has caused to
