Tim Burton is a very creative director, he uses many different cinematic techniques in all his movies some of his main techniques are non-diegetic sound, long shot and lighting. These techniques help him create his unique cinematic style. If you have watched a tim burton movies all of those techniques are seen in his films such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Edward Scissorhands has theses techniques. I personally think that if Tim Burton did not use the lighting he uses his movies would not be good. Tim’s lighting is important because it makes every scene come to life whether the lighting is dark and creepy or colorful and bright it plays a big part in his movies. In Edward Scissorhands you can see the whole town has plain colorful bright colors in the whole town which when you see edward makes him stand out at lot. This makes him stand out because edward is pale white and black is the colors he has on him. By using these colors you can already tell the conflict that makes edward different not only is it weird that his hands are scissors but he has all pale face that is white. He also wears all black which makes him weird because everyone in the town is colorful and doesn’t wear black at all. Even in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory while everyone is walking through the factory to the door it’s very dark in there and scary. Then Willy Wonka unlocks the key door and the lighting changes from lowkey to highkey because as soon Willy Wonka unlocks the door the room is extremely colorful and makes it look like candy heaven. Now this is what makes lightning so amazing because it creates the effect of the mood to how viewers feel and makes his movies
