With every great movie there has to be a story to how a wonderful story was developed. As I glanced over the internet I read about of how they developed a very comedic story of high school senior’s road to their virginities being taken away and discovering what the meaning of true friendship is. The writers of the film were Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg. Do both of those first names sound quite very familiar? Yes both the writers’ names used their first names in the film to portray the two high school best friends that go on a very wild adventure. Now both writers Evan and Seth wrote about this story through experiences they have seen during their very own high school experience during the 1990’s. In the film Seth’s main character (Seth) was supposed to be played by Seth Rogan himself, but due to the fact his body size, looks and age was not quite to standards of passing as a high school, they willingly decided to cast Jonah Hill to play the main character role as Seth. So with Seth Rogan not being able to play as his main character, he instead played the role of one of the characters seen many times around the movie as the goofy, cool officers, Officer Michael. The production of the film took a long while well over seven years to be fully completed from scripting the movie in the early two thousands and filming in two thousand six and seven. During the films production Christopher Mintz-Plasse who plays as the

Another great example for production design in science fiction movies is the movie Ex Machina. To begin with, production design includes the design of sets which makes set design one of the most important aspects while producing a movie. For example, one of the points set design deals with is the location where the film is going to be shot. Funderburg (2015) explained that in the movie Ex Machina, they used two Norwegian locations both designed by the architects Jensen & Skodvin. One of the locations is a private mansion and the second one is the Juvet Landscape Hotel, which consists of single suites secretly linked to the fjord and forest around them (para. 2).…

Superbad, one of the most iconic bromance films of all time. When asked what this movie is about, many say two things; at first glance, on the surface it seems like this film is all about going through hell just to get laid and to get alcohol, but I’d argue that there is a deeper part of the story, it is about two bros dealing with some “relationship problems”. Those two bros are Seth and Evan. Seth and Evan have been life long friends and are now coming to the end of their senior year of high school and are preparing for college life. The only problem is that they are both going to different colleges, and are experiencing some separation anxiety as if they were in a romantic relationship.…

    Deliverance Film Analysis

Deliverance is definitely a film that alternates between “Man vs Man” and “Man vs Nature”; the way the themes are explored makes the film a little unique. Many of the scenes depict “Man vs Man”, for instance Ed’s inability to shoot the arrow without his hands trembling, despite him being an “excellent shot” at inanimate objects, he can’t shoot any living being whether animal or human without his conscious, hence the hand trembles, fighting back. Even when experiencing and witnessing the humiliating, cruel, shameful crime committed against Bobby and his own near miss; he still couldn’t shoot the men responsible, nor could he fully make eye contact with Bobby afterwards. Another representation would be the change in character or personality…

‘Dr. Strangelove’ is basically an anti-war film, showing the irrationality of nuclear war. The film frequently reveals extreme examples of international politics, gender politics, and the role of communication (or lack of) contained in each. Because this is a war film, the politics of nationalism and apparent hatred of the enemy are thoroughly addressed. The American ideal of being the triumphant underdog is historically rooted and represented by the crew of the B-52.…

Mad Max: Fury Road is a spectacular film, and while it may not seem to be the most thought-provoking movie, there is a lot of hidden depth that can be discovered. Performing more than just a cursory viewing allows one to see the hidden themes and ideals presented in a seemingly vacuous movie, and looking past the dust and explosions allows one to see the characters develop along with the setting and landscape. The most prolific use of imagery in this movie is not even in the visual effects, which are spectacular, but in the sound. The visual effects, however, influence the movie nearly as much, from the specific color choice to the landscape and its specificities. Sound, and it’s absence, is a very powerful thing.…
