The1942 classic film opens with the sound of the French singer La Marsellaise singing their national anthem. Then the vision of a spinning globe crosses the screen. Shortly after you hear the sound of a male voice narrator explaining the great significance of the city Casablanca in the French ruled Morocco. Many people want to break free of the dangers of Europe to escape to America .However, the popular outlet of departure was Lisbon and getting to Lisbon was no easy task, so many people made risky journeys to the city of Casablanca, seeking the exit visa .The people leaving Europe would do whatever they could to obtain a visa to make their way out.
