Improved Essays
The film that I have watched was “Boys Don’t Cry”. This film is a 1999 drama film that is based off of a true story that had been directed by Kimberly Peirce. This film is about a boy named Brandon Teena, but in reality is named Teena a female, known to be Transsexual. Teena feels she should be a male and cuts her hair off, dresses up like a male and changes her name (Peirce & Bienen, 1999).
This film starts out at night with a young male adult, Brandon Teena that goes with his older cousin Lonny that is homosexual to a skating rink. Brandon goes with his cousin to the skating rink to meet up with his date. After Brandon’s date he is chased home by three guys, one being of his dates relations. They had chased Brandon all the way home yelling

Killing Candace as well as Brandon blew my mind. It really had made me so mad that they had let it gone that far. The minority group being Transsexual had played a big role at the end of the movie. They did not feel is was right for someone to want or do change their sex. To pretend they were a male then rather a female. The guys ended up going crazy realizing he was a she and took it way too far. They didn’t understand why she wanted to be a he. No one did except for Lana. Lana didn’t care if Brandon was a female she loved him for him. He treated her good and not like she was just a piece of meat like the rest of the guys. I feel though it was more of Brandon lying to John then rather him being what he was. John was trying to protect Lana. Well he thought he was but really was not thinking about what she wanted.
The only way to really know what the guys did is to get into their heads. They could have thought he is a she and maybe having sex with that person they will change their mind or just simply because Brandon was a she and was just other piece of meat. There are a lot of people out there that think about themselves instead of others. If they two guys had not raped Brandon and just let her go and simply just except he was just wanting to be a he, then that would have not happened. Also it would have not lead up to killing Brandon nor

Stereotypes have been around longer than most believe. A primary example is during the Nazi era in Germany, when the government put out photos of "the Jews" having big pointy noses. They were shown as greedy monsters who smelled bad and whose jobs were to ruin the government. Another example is the "cholo" look. The look is seen on the mexican youth.…

I think what he did to the lady that broke the law was good because he was the king and she did not listen and he made a order that was not burying the body but the girl did anyway. Also, the sister of the lady said that she was gonna take punishment with her sister because she didn’t want her sister to die and the king said she would be punished also so they both were punished. Contrast with Creon’s character to the point of these two characters have conflicting motivations. Conflicting motivations develop Creon as a tragic hero by Because he didn’t kill the women he just touched her and she had a soft spot. She also was happy because she wanted to bury her brother in the open to show respect she didn’t want nobody disrespecting her brother.…

The Breakfast Club This movie is about a day of Saturday detention and group of teenagers fitting in your typical high school stereotypes. It was brilliantly written with teenagers in mind. They could identify with each character and their portrayed stereo type. They all had at least one thing in common and that was that they didn’t get along with their parents. This is realistic for who really got or gets along with their parents in high school.…

The following essay will focus on the film Boyhood (2014) in attempts to explain how three significant events in the main character’s life story, Mason, exemplify developmental changes in the lifespan. There will be references to three developmental domains, cognitive development in terms of information processing, conceptual resources and perceptual skill, physical development referring to growth in the process of puberty and psychosocial development being the expansion of the personality, including the gain of social attitudes and skills particularly according to Erikson theory, the battle of identity vs role diffusion (Sigelman, 2013, p. 38).
