Is giving up the only solution for all problems? The movie Blind Side begins with the author; Michael Lewis explains the incident of Joe Thiesman in which he broke his leg into two parts. He then explains the importance of a left tackle in the game of football. He explained how left tackle is the 2nd highest paid player after quarter back. Soon, author showed a guy which seemed like a perfect match for the left tackle position. After a brief description, author introduce Michael Oher; tall, beefy, quiet and athletic guy who is being interviewed by what it seems like a government officer. Michael, who was abandoned at a very young age and didn’t know much about his father nor his mother, although he wanted to stay with his mother who was an alcoholic and struggle to find an orphan house or a good family that can take care of …show more content…
Everyone have to lead in some way whether it’s in a sport or any other kind of leadership. Being a leader we have to know what makes people perform at their best level. The motivation that every person in your team needs to inspire them to perform with true strengths and interests. A Leader should also apply all that information at the right time and place when he needed the most. Which in the film we show that Michael’s coach didn’t realize nor he tried to find out about Michael. Film shows lack of commitment from the coach toward his student’s personal life. He didn’t try to find out his only interest was to teach Michael the game of football which he had hard time understanding. After trying many times Leigh-Anne told him that he should know his player before he tries to use them in the game. She told him that Michael was resulted in 98% in protective instincts test.
