29 November 2017 Never Give Up There are many songs that tell the reality of life by describing different events of life. These songs share the experience of life by giving inspirational messages to inspire people to live their life by having fun and living the life the way they want to. But there are other songs that that have a huge effect deep inside people’s heart. They give a deeper and a heart whelming message that require the listener to deeply read the lyrics to understand the message being conveyed. Most of the songs use figurative language and make a clear and concise connection with the reader and make it understandable easily. The song “Beautiful” by Christina Aguilera tells us to keep our head up high and don’t let anyone’s opinion disgrace us. The important aspects that make “Beautiful” a song to listen is the use of figurative language. The Writer uses metaphors to compare something that is different to the listener. In the beginning she was ashamed of herself but now she has built up herself and now says that she is beautiful and further explains in the next line that words can hurt her anymore. she says that no matter what people tell her, no matter how many times people let her down she will never give up again. “I am beautiful in every single way / Yes, words can’t bring me down…Oh no” (Beautiful 8-9). Christina is repeating that she will never feel ashamed and no words can break her down.” So, don’t you bring me down today” (Beautiful 10). In this line there is a message of strength from her to those who bullied her that she won’t stay back this time no matter how many times you bring her down she will not fall
