That is what the characters in Fight Club are doing. They are seeing that they are unhappy with their lives, and decide to change them drastically. I found that throughout my research so many people are able to connect with Fight Club because the character are so real and deal with the problems that we deal with on a day to day basis. The world is a lonely and unjust place and that is what makes Chuck Palahniuk’s novel Fight Club so important. It shows us that we don’t need to buy the newest piece of furniture or wear the fanciest clothes to be accepted, despite what the media feeds you, but that what we need to be truly happy is to find meaning in our lives whatever the cost may be.
