The book begins with Mclean sweet and her dad, Gut sweet, they had just moved to a new town. Gus is an interim chef for EAT INC, a company that buys failing restaurants, makes them look new and sells them to other high price bidder. And because this job he is requires him to move around the country. Now this is his fourth time he and Mclean have moved in the past two years. Mclean doesn’t really care about the moving. It lets her to have a chance to start over, and this the only way that she could avoid living with her mom, Katherine. Mclean had grown up in the town call Tyler. Throughout her childhood, she and her dad always follow basketball in their town. Until her mom had an affair with peter Hamilton, the coach of the basketball team. After the divorce Mclean had decided to stay with her dad.
With every new town she moved to she has developed a ritual of a new name based on her own middle name, Elizabeth. As she does this, she also makes a fake personally to fit the name. First was Eliza which was a perky cheerleader. Then she became Lizbet, an emotional drama queen. Also in this new town her dad is trying to rebuild a restaurant called the Luna Blu, which was described as a “Contemporary Italian and old-fashion good” in the process they meets Opal. Opal is the manager of Luna Blu and has been there ever since it opened. Opal and Gus try to rebuild Luna Blu but couldn’t. After living in Lakeview for a few months, she has found out that her dad had got an new offer in Hawaii. While she is trying to accept the idea of moving again, her friend has found out all the old personas that she has have before she move to Lakeview by finding four different Ume pages, with four different girl that they recognize but different
