With Theodore I would help him with groups of infants. I do like the idea of a cardboard

Doing clinical observations are very important because it gives a change to see student and teacher interactions first hand and get to see how well a student is responding. During my observations at Biddeford Intermediate School, I got the change to shadow an Ed. Teach in a life skills room. This was a great opportunity for me because it was a chance to see another kind of intervention done in the special education department. I have done many observations with an occupational therapist, and they have always been in lighting and very educational, but to visit a life skills room gave me more perspective on the special education department as a whole.…

When I first arrived at the school, the 4th-grade class was at lunch. With the principle’s permission, I wondered the halls and observe some of the 5th-grade classrooms that were still in session. The first thing I noticed was that the same posters I had seen at the primary school were posted on the walls. These being the school rules and the noise level posters. I was intrigued about this and asked Mrs. Finnell, who explained to me that this is a district plan that they have incorporated.…

On Friday May 13 I was able to observe two P.E. classes at Mt. Stuart Elementary. There were two sections which I observed, first group was a 1st grade class and then a kindergarten class. It was a very cool experience, since I don’t remember P.E. classes back when I was young. One thing I enjoyed was the teacher’s enthusiasm when the students walked into the gym. He welcomed each student with a smile and with excitement.…

My observation of Ms. de la Fuente’s 5th grade class this week started after lunch during their math time. On Wednesday, their schedule had been different from normal and there was two other teachers in the classroom teaching them about different types of rocks. On Thursday, a sixth grade math teacher came to the classroom to further explain what they had been learning about conversions, and to tell them about what they would learn next year when they went to sixth grade.. During arrival in the morning and dismissal in the afternoon, the same routine is followed on almost all days. In the morning, the students go wait in the gym and are picked up by the teacher when the first bell rings.…

While conducting my student observations; I have gathered up a few inferences about my subject. Over the span of three weeks I recorded observations made solely on things I examined visually. I did not make personal contact, instead I watched my subject from a far. By examining my subject in this manner I was limited only to what I saw to make inferences. My subject’s appearance, social class, and habits all play a role in her interactions with society, and tell me a little about her as an individual in society.…
