This assignment I chose the second option that was picking a short-term goal and creating a plan of action to address that intention. At fieldwork, one of the client’s STG is that, “In 3 weeks; Pt will increase bil shld AROM by 20 deg.” The patient expressed desires to be capable of fixing himself breakfast, lunch and dinner. He stated that his wife was going on vacation for a week, and he needed to be able to cook food. I thought that he could place and remove cans of food from a shelf as a therapeutic activity. This would cause the patient to use his shoulder to lift up for the cans of food. I thought this activity could even address strengthening if that was a part of another goal (in his case, it was).
