The assessment provided useful problem-solving and rational information to serve as a better baseline for understanding the immediate needs and wishes of each occupant. In addition, the therapeutic process for the residents were to be actively involved in activities in a meaningful manner. The strategies needed to use encouraging engagement, social demands, sequencing, action, body function, and structure, such as fine motor (pincer grasp), hand-eye coordination, and cognitive skill of recognizing when to take turns. Furthermore, these strategies were helpful factors in aiding and determining the degree of participation of each participated occupant. The residents were high functioning throughout the whole activity. According to the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework (OTPF), these potential treatments include the individual’s social connection, readiness for change and their role in treatment.
