Jones discussed the importance of a leader’s ability to influence followers and provided support by presenting the strength of charismatic leadership traits and situational leadership theory within a military setting. While the strengths of both the personality and the chosen leadership style may be valid determinants of leadership success, they do not always correlate to long-term shaping of follower readiness.
