Even though I did not continue to be a runner on the team, it was still hard for me to be on the field sports. I never tried throwing a shot put in my life, so when I did I was surprised on how heavy it was. The shining eight pound ball sure fooled me when I first picked it up. I did not even know what to do with it. After the few couple practices I learned that I had to put the ball next to my neck, spin around a couple times, then throw it was far as I could on the sand. Unfortunately for me, I couldn’t throw past fifteen feet when the average was twenty five feet. I did not give up, I continued to practice longer after school and tried to improve my strength.
