There are two things you should know about me. First: I get really bad nosebleeds. It's been this way for all of my life. To give you an idea of how bad they are, I've had to go to the hospital for them more than twenty times and blood has even started coming out of my nose and mouth, because my sinuses fill with blood and it has nowhere else to go. Second: I always hated field day. I live in California and field day was always in May. If you don't live in California, you might not know that it isn't rare for it to be 110 degrees in May. Beside the fact that it can be this hot, on field day they only gave us the tiny Deer Park water bottles, and I hated sports. Every field day I tried to get out of going. I pretended to be sick, I begged the teachers, and when that didn't work, I offered to do extra math work inside instead of going to field day because "it was better for my brain". By fifth grade, I had run out of excuses and when field day came around, I was forced to go. I had complained about field day all week, and by the time we were going outside to the activities, the teacher was pretty fed up with me. She practically dragged me out of the school crying as I whined about how much I hated field day. It was so …show more content…
My parents arrived about twenty minutes later. The principal said that I could go home right then and apologized to my parents. My parents drove me to get some ice cream and a new toy. When we were driving home they received a call from the principal. The principal said that tomorrow instead of going to lunch in the cafeteria, I would go to the principal's office and eat pizza and ice cream with him. In elementary school if you got to eat lunch with the principal, that meant you were really special.
