This year I would enjoy the opportunity to attend the Washington Leadership Conference as it can offer me to the ability to experience leadership qualities to apply to my future goals. I have found that I have a great passion with helping others achieve their goals and aspirations. I believe, that with the right direction and leadership of others, I can make a great impact on anyone I mentor in the future. In the past, I have gone to a few FFA Leadership conferences. They all helped me see what a true leader should be. The activities that I participated in also inspired me to always be improving my leadership skills. For example, I have been to the Idaho State Leadership Conference, where each individual session was inspiring and life changing. I left that conference with the urge of always wanting to make an impact in other people's lives.

It lead to me coaching the freshman in creed. I was able to help the girls achieve their goals and gain more confidence in themselves. If I am giving the amazing opportunity attend to the WLC this year, my goals would be to gain more knowledge of how to become a greater leader, by working on leadership and mentor skills. I would be delighted to bring the skill that I have learned, back to the chapter to teach and show what I have learned. I would be ecstatic if I was able to go on this amazing journey. I would look forward in becoming a great leader and influence and encourage others to be amazing leaders, as well. My most significant leadership experience would be when I was in the Girls Varsity Tennis Team. I had been in the tennis team during my highschool years, for 2 years. During that time I learned a lot about being a leader, such as what it means to lead others, and what qualities a leader should have. When I first started playing tennis I started at the position on 2nd doubles, to me I took it as that I was not good enough to play against an opponent by myself on the court. Which was entirely true, because when I began playing I was not any good whatsoever.…

What role do you typically play in (*a) group? When I am in a group setting, without a doubt I take on a mediator and leadership role. For example, when I mentored and tutored 5th graders, I had to not only be the authority figure, but I was responsible for listening to their problems and concerns and providing them with the best resolution. Being a mediator allows me to be a silent leader for the reason that I can lead people while they feel like they are a leader as well.…
