I am constantly arguing with my mom because she also tells me about how perfect she was during her childhood. My mom always tells me the difficult things she had to and compares them with the “simple” tasks she makes me do. I also do not like to be proven wrong, especially by my mom, so when she corrects me I get extremely frustrated. Some days I am like Mattie and secretly wish my mom could go away, but then I think of all the horrible problems I would have. A perfect example is when my mom makes me wash the dishes and I complain back. She gets so mad at me that she gives me a five minute speech of how simple washing a couple of dishes is and that she is going to take all my privileges away from me. I can also relate to the theme because some days I am not the appreciative person on the world. I usually do not want to eat all the food my mom serves me a at dinner but then I think of all the children that barely eat crumbs per day. An example of a time I did not appreciate something was when I got fifty dollars. Right away I started to waste the money at the ice cream truck and buying useless things. By the time I actually had to buy my book I had to work hard again to earn more money back because I took it for granted the first
