I am applying for this scholarship to further my education. I privileged to be attending Ferris State University, and earning my degree. When I think of a degree, it is not just something that is required to get a job. A degree is furthering your knowledge in subjects you want to know more about. The best thing about education is that is there is no limit, and no one can ever take your knowledge away from you. When I decided to attend college, I had to figure out how to apply for financial aid, and apply for college. I was accepted into Ferris with the college of retention and student success due to my low ACT score. As I mentioned I received a 4.00 my first semester, and gain admission to the college of Health Professions the semester after. I decided I was going to get my B.S. in Allied Health Science and my A.A.S in Radiography. Before starting the program, I knew of three of my friends who failed the program. This made me nervous about being successful in the program. My first semester in the program was not easy. I have never worked so hard for a class before. I ended up passing my first semester in the program. I received no lower than a 80% in all my program classes. I also have many on campus jobs during school. I currently have two jobs. I have been working for Ferris States athletics office for two years doing office work. I also work for the college of education and human services in the academic affairs office for 6 months
