Why do you feel that you are the best qualified applicant for this scholarship?
I am applying for this scholarship to further my education. I privileged to be attending Ferris State University, and earning my degree. When I think of a degree, it is not just something that is required to get a job. A degree is furthering your knowledge in subjects you want to know more about. The best thing about education is that is there is no limit, and no one can ever take your knowledge away from you. However, obtaining an education can be expensive, but thankfully to generous foundations and government funding, I can pursue an education. I believe that I am best qualified for this scholarship because I am involved, hardworking, and motivated.

When I decided to attend college, I had to figure out how to apply for financial aid, and apply for college. I was accepted into Ferris with the college of retention and student success due to my low ACT score. As I mentioned I received a 4.00 my first semester, and gain admission to the college of Health Professions the semester after. I decided I was going to get my B.S. in Allied Health Science and my A.A.S in Radiography. Before starting the program, I knew of three of my friends who failed the program. This made me nervous about being successful in the program. My first semester in the program was not easy. I have never worked so hard for a class before. I ended up passing my first semester in the program. I received no lower than a 80% in all my program classes. I also have many on campus jobs during school. I currently have two jobs. I have been working for Ferris States athletics office for two years doing office work. I also work for the college of education and human services in the academic affairs office for 6 months

The WDHS scholarship committee should select me as their nominee for these scholarships because as a driven student, I devote myself to successfully take advantage of the opportunities these scholarships will offer me. I am a well rounded student who goes above and beyond on everything I undertake, whether it be academics, athletics, extracurriculars, leadership, or service. While I am a high-achieving student, I prefer to be sought as a scholar-one for whom knowledge is about more than test scores and grades, and for whom learning is an appetite rather than a means to an end. To me, education is the key to success; therefore, my passion for education is connected with my desire to help others.…

I feel like I am a good candidate for this scholarship because, as a senior, any and all money earned and received will help me ease the burden of attending college. My goal throughout my whole childhood was to receive a full ride scholarship to the college of my dreams; however, as time has gone on and I have matured I have come to the realization that, that dream is not as achievable as I once believed it to be. I have worked hard, inside and outside of the classroom, making the grades and creating the resume that colleges are looking for, and in response I have been offered tuition waivers. Which ultimately means I am still responsible for paying for my books, room and board, part of the tuition cost, and mandatory fees.…

Since a very young age, I have had an interest in, and enjoyed caring for others when they are sick or injured.
