He misses so much of it in fact he has to hack into the school’s computer system in order to change around the amount of days he has missed, so that he won’t get in trouble for it. On top of that he both verbally and physically abuses his friend Cameron on multiple occasions, forcing him to go along with his plan for a day off. Ferris also makes him put in a phony call to the principal in order to get his girlfriend out of class, slaps him when he doesn’t cooperate, and makes him steal his own father’s car for the day trip into the city, which is where some of the major juvenile delinquency begins. While juvenile delinquency is a term often times used to describe a simple unruly teen or two, the reality of it all is that juvenile delinquency refers to an adolescent who regularly breaks the law and often times ends up being in regular harmful relationships and leaving school behind. He not only breaks the obvious truancy laws, but since he is a senior who is presumed to be 18-years-old and he gets his girlfriend Sloane, who is confirmed to being younger than him by at least a year, out of class just to run around with him, he is guilty of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and could even be charged with kidnapping. On top of that you have the some more major federal law breaking such as tampering with public record when he illegally changes the amount of days he has missed and grand theft auto from stealing Cameron’s father’s car, along with conspiracy to commit odometer tampering when he is telling Cameron about messing with the millage tracker so his father never finds out. Then there is also the fact of the parade float that he jumps on to preform his rendition of Twist and Shout which would get him at least a disorderly conduct charge. Overall Ferris Bueller is a very troubled adolescent who seems to have no regard for the law when it comes to him having fun.
